Oleg’s right ear had to be removed. However, he had it pre- served. After difficult negotiations, he relinquished it to Jo- chem Hendricks and made himself available for the artist’s plan. Hendricks then made a synthesised diamond out of Oleg’s ear. The diamond is held in a golden stud. Oleg then wore the stud in the remaining lobe of his right ear.
